Fight Hunger 5K 10K 1 Mile
The Northern Illinois Food Bank presents the 14th annual Fight Hunger run/walk at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois on May 1, 2027. The event gathers nearly 1,700 participants and supports efforts to assist Northern Illinois neighbors and local communities.

- 5 km
- 1 mile
Registration details vary by distance. Registration for the 10K and 5K opens May 4, 2026 and closes January 1, 2027; the fee for each is $35. Registration for the 1 Mile opens May 4, 2026 and closes April 1, 2027; the fee is $30.
Additional event notes address participant guidance and age groups. Walkers are asked to line up behind runners at the start and to stay to the side during the course to avoid blocking the path. The Kids Mile is geared for children under 12; guardians who are registered for the 5K or 10K may accompany children, and others may join the start line as walkers or participants.
