Northern Illinois Food Bank Fight Hunger 5K 10K 1 Mile
The event is the 14th annual Fight Hunger run and walk hosted by the Northern Illinois Food Bank on May 1, 2027 at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois (151 Winfield Rd). It brings together nearly 1,700 participants and combines running and walking with food and entertainment for families.

Registration opens on May 4, 2026 and closes on January 1, 2027 for the 10 km and 5 km events. Registration for the 1 mile closes on April 1, 2027. Published registration fees are $40 for the 10 km, $35 for the 5 km, and $30 for the 1 mile.
The 1 mile event is geared toward children under 12; guardians who are registered for the 5 km or 10 km may accompany their children. Adults who prefer a shorter distance may also use the 1 mile start line. Walkers are asked to line up behind runners at the start and to stay to the side during the course to keep the path clear.
