Fight Against Colon Cancer
Fight Against Colon Cancer is a running and walking event held on July 11, 2026 in Coplay, Pennsylvania. It offers both a 5k run walk and a 1 mile walk along the Ironton Rail Trail.

The course uses the Ironton Rail Trail, which connects nearly a dozen parks and about two dozen historical sites in east central Lehigh County. The trail includes a 5 mile loop around Coplay and Hokendauqua along the Lehigh River and a 4 mile spur toward Ironton. The route follows the former Ironton Railroad corridor and forms a lasso shaped connection between historic iron mine and foundry areas.
Event features include short sleeve T shirts for pre registrants and for post registrants while supplies last, a clock and results board at the finish, refreshments, instant results and posted times on the internet, and a course with no traffic on it. One free raffle ticket is provided with a chance to buy more. The event is held rain or shine, has no refunds, and does not mail shirts or awards. The 5k is professionally timed and registrations received before June 15 include a race T shirt.
Awards for the 5k are given to the top male and female overall and to the top three male and female in age groups 0-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-67, 68-74, and 75 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
