Fifth Street Cross Summer Camp : Kempton Community Center, PA
Fifth Street Cross Summer Camp is a two-day event on July 31 and August 1, 2026, held at the Kempton Community Center at the foot of Hawk Mountain. The weekend combines off-road cycling, running races, on-site camping, shared meals, and live music.
Friday evening features a two-lap course on grass and dirt used for a roughly 5k trail run and two short-format cyclocross races run in opposite directions. A post-race meal and a film screening are scheduled, and on-site camping is available. Indoor restrooms are provided.
Saturday focuses on unsupported gravel rides on local backroads with multiple route options. Routes include long-distance and shorter loops; the 100-mile option typically requires several hours to complete. The day also includes multi-lap run racing in the Sundown Rundown format, live music, and additional meals.
Camping amenities and logistics are provided on site. Tent camping is free; van and RV camping are available with options for electrical hookups and 30-amp power. There are no showers, no water hookups, and no dump station; trash must be deposited in provided receptacles.
The event awards FSX merit badges and points for activities such as gravel riding, 5k, each cyclocross race, Sundown mileage, s’mores, and camping. Day-of registration with a signed waiver is allowed for many activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
