Event Overview
The Fifth Street Cross Summer Camp is a two-day weekend event on July 31 and August 1, 2026, at the Kempton Community Center in Kempton, Pennsylvania. It is the event's second edition. The weekend features multiple athletic activities and on-site camping.
Activities and Events
The scheduled activities include:
- A 5k run on Friday evening.
- A Cyclocross Race on Friday evening.
- Three unsupported gravel rides on Saturday morning: a Backcountry Loop (100 miles), a Highlands loop (100 k), and a Lakeside loop (31 k or 22 miles).
- The Sundown Rundown on Saturday afternoon, described as a last-run-standing challenge.
Participants can register for individual events or purchase a "Summer Camp: Full experience" pass for access to all weekend activities.
Venue and Amenities
The event is held at 83 Community Center Drive in Kempton. On-site camping is available for both Friday and Saturday nights, with free tent sites and RV hook-ups for a fee. Indoor restrooms are available. Food and beverages are provided on Friday and Saturday, with family guest passes available for purchase. The schedule includes community gatherings with s'mores by a campfire.
Course Details
The off-road course for the 5k, cyclocross race, and Sundown Rundown features over 80 feet of climbing per lap through woods and fields.
