Ferring "5 'n' 5" West Sussex 2027
Ferring "5 'n' 5" takes place at Ferring Country Centre on 9 July 2027 and marks the third year the event returns to the site. The event is scheduled for a Friday evening in July and is organised by Raw Energy Pursuits using volunteers from the centre.
Distances offered include:
- 5 miles
- 5 km
- Junior 5 km (12–15 years)
- Kids 2 km Fun Run (6–11 years)
Routes run on quiet roads and trails close to the centre, along the Ferring Rife and a private seafront. The Rife flows from the centre to the sea at East Preston, between Worthing and Littlehampton.
The event is a charity run with all profit going to Ferring Country Centre. Entry includes a unique medal. Timekeeping will use the ST App Service; there will be no chip timing.
Ferring Country Centre is a 32-acre site that includes a riding school, garden centre, café, soft play area, gift shop and farm. The centre has provided services for people with learning disabilities for around 40 years, offering activities such as woodwork, gardening, riding therapy and cooking.
