Fenelon Falls Turkey Trot
The Fenelon Falls Turkey Trot is an inclusive community run and walk held on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. Founded in 2016, the event raises funds for Women’s Resources and has a fundraising goal of $2200 for 2026.
The event base is Garnet Graham Beach Park Gazebo on the shores of Cameron Lake at 98 Francis Street West, Fenelon Falls. The course is a flat out and back on the Kawartha Rail Trail, with a surface that is about 98 percent gravel and screenings. Optional distances are offered for different ages and abilities:
- 1k kids family run or walk
- 5k youth adult and senior
- 10k youth adult and senior
Registration is online only and online registration closes October 6, 2026; there is no race day entry. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Awards include cash prize purses for top open finishers in the 10k and 5k, age group awards, a non binary division, and special prizes for best costume top fundraiser and top volunteer.
Participant services listed by the organizer include a custom souvenir bib chip timing custom t shirt for an extra fee a unique wooden finisher medal post event food on site post event massage Indigenous drumming and event music. Parking is limited on site with additional street and off street options. The race policy restricts pets on the trail to service animals and requires leashes in the park.
