Event overview
The Fenelon Falls Turkey Trot is a trail race family fun run/walk founded in 2016. The 2025 edition takes place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Garnet Graham Beach Park on the shores of Cameron Lake in Fenelon Falls, Ontario (98 Francis Street West). The event is explicitly described as inclusive and celebrates diversity, with partnerships that include local minority groups and First Nations. It is a fundraiser for Women’s Resources of Kawartha Lakes with a stated 2025 goal of $2,000.
Race details and services
The course is a flat out-and-back on the Kawartha Rail Trail, with a surface that is 98% gravel/screenings. Distances offered include:
- 1k kids family run/walk
- 1k youth, adult and senior run/walk
- 5k for youth, adult and senior
- 10k for youth, adult and senior
Registration is online only and closes in early October; the event is capped at 500 participants. Race kit pickup is available in advance at the Fenelon Curling Club and on race morning at the park. Pets are not permitted on the race trail; pets in the park must be leashed and support animals are allowed on the course. All participants receive a custom bib, timing, a T-shirt, a wooden finisher’s medal, post-race snacks and services such as massage and a pre-race warm up.
