Kawartha Sun Run 2026
The event takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026 in Fenelon Falls with the start area at Garnet Graham Beach Park. Distances offered:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The route runs from Garnet Graham Beach Park along the Victoria Trail, following waterfront, parks and natural areas. The course is described as flat. Finishers receive a finishers medal and a custom event shirt. Fundraising for Kawartha Lakes Food Source has raised CA$111.20.
Logistics and services
All participants must wear a bib number and timing chip. Race kit pick-up or mail-out options are available:
- Lindsay: Monday June 8, 4:00 - 7:00 pm
- Toronto: Thursday June 11, 4:00 - 7:00 pm
- Fenelon Falls: Saturday June 13, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Mail-out kits are available; VIP race day pick-up requires a purchased ticket.
Aid stations provide water and an electrolyte drink approximately every 2.5 - 3.0 km. No gels or other nutrition are provided; runners should carry their own. Portable toilets will be available at each aid station and at the half marathon turn-around.
Race day parking is available at Fenelon Falls Community Centre (27 Veterans Way), about a 20 minute walk to Garnet Graham Beach Park. There are some downtown lots and street parking; do not attempt to access Garnet Graham Park via Water Street. The event policy states no cancellations or refunds; if a government or public health order forces cancellation, a virtual option will be offered. Transfers between distances or to another runner are allowed until early June 2026 and incur a CA$5 administration fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
