Event details
The Kawartha Sun Run is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Fenelon Falls, Ontario. The race starts at Garnet Graham Beach Park and follows the Victoria Trail with sections alongside waterfront, parks and natural areas. Distances offered:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
Finishers receive a finishers medal and a custom event shirt. The half marathon has a 3 hour 30 minute cut-off. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course.
Logistics and race services
Aid stations will provide water and an electrolyte drink approximately every 2.5 to 3.0 km. No gels or other nutrition will be supplied, so participants should carry their own nutrition and dispose of rubbish at aid stations. Portable toilets will be available at each aid station and at the half marathon turnaround.
Race kits include a bib number and timing chip. Options include mail-out kits, local kit pick-up locations in Lindsay, Toronto and Fenelon Falls, and a VIP race-day kit pick-up ticket. Transfers between participants are permitted; a CA$5 administration fee applies. Parking is available at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre with a walk to the start, and limited downtown lots are nearer the park. The event lists Culture Athletics as the official GTA running store and several supporting sponsors. Cancellation policy: no refunds; a virtual option may be offered if event cancellation is required by public health or government order.
