About the race
The Feeney Legacy Project hosts the 4th Annual Feeney's 5K Fun Run (Or Walk) and an associated Virtual Fun Run. The live event takes place at Brook Run Park Amphitheater in Dunwoody, GA, and both in-person and virtual options feature a 5K distance.
The live event and the virtual window are scheduled on specific dates in 2026–2027. Virtual participants may complete their activity any day and place within the event window and receive race swag by mail.
Registration fee information and special pricing are provided for children ages 6–12 and adults ages 65–100; the standard registration fee listed is $30. Registered participants receive an official race T-shirt when registered by February 14 to guarantee a shirt. The event offers finisher medals, age-group awards, a free photo booth, food, music, vendors, and games. The live race is professionally timed by Elite Race Timing.
The event includes costume and group contests. The live event highlights a Red and Black Costume Contest. Virtual contest categories include Best Group Pic, Best Red and Black Outfit, and Best Group Ride or Walk Pic. Dogs on leash and strollers are allowed; stroller users are requested to start behind timed runners.
The event promotes community education on calling 911 in emergencies, Hands-Only CPR, Good Samaritan and Medical Amnesty laws, and organ donor registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
