Feel The Burn 2026
Feel The Burn 2026 is a prairie run and walk held at Lapham Peak State Forest in Delafield, WI on July 11, 2026. The route uses grass hiking and mountain bike trails through prairie sections that are maintained by prescribed burns; parts of the course are lined with flowers. The prairie area for the event is located on the west side of County Road C.
The event serves as a major fundraiser for Lapham Peak prairie management. The first 100 participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt, and awards are given to run winners. Participants may pick up awards at the Lapham Lodge shortly after finishing or when results are posted. Day-of registration is available at the new Lapham Lodge in the Evergreen parking lot.
Park merchandise and prairie plant seeds will be available for purchase, and a food truck is planned for the event. A Wisconsin State Park sticker or a $10 special event fee is required for attendance. Registration is organized into categories for adults, ages 13–19, and 12 and under, with fees listed on the event registration page; published fees range from $12.55 to $33.75.
