Feathers 5K Run and Walk : Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation
The Feathers 5K Run and Walk is a community based, family friendly fundraising event held on June 6, 2026, at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven, Georgia. The event benefits the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to adults living with cancer across a 17 county metro Atlanta service area.
The foundation reported that in 2025 it provided over $479,000 in assistance to more than 1,700 metro Atlanta cancer patients. Current fundraising for the event shows $3,978.40 raised toward a $70,000 goal.
Event services include race day packet pick up and an earlier pickup on June 4 at Big Peach Ride + Run Brookhaven, with t shirts and swag bags available only at packet pick up locations or from the Atlanta Cancer Care office after the event. Phantom participants may also collect items from the designated office after the event. Parking at Oglethorpe University is free and participants will use the main entrance with signs directing to designated lots.
The event program includes a short fun run for young children with prizes and an awards presentation. Awards are given for first, second and third place in male and female categories across multiple age groups starting at 0 to 14 and extending to 80 and over.
