Fit to be Tied Father's Day 5K
The Fit to be Tied Father's Day 5K is the fourth annual community event held at Vista View Park in Davie, Florida on June 15, 2025. The event pairs a 5K road race with a carnival-style afterparty that includes family-focused activities and refreshments. A pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Runner's Depot, 2233 S University Drive, Davie, FL 33324.
Registered participants receive a personalized race bib, a high-quality event shirt, and a custom finisher medal. The on-site carnival offers a Kids Zone with arts and crafts such as making a custom "designer tie" for Dad, and a variety of classic games including cotton candy, snow cones, bean bag toss, bottle rings, knock down cans, duck pond, and disc drop. A video game truck with multiple consoles is available to registered participants.
The event also includes a designated Dad's Zone where adults can socialize and have a beer. An awards ceremony for the 5K is part of the program, and entertainment is provided by Millertyme Entertainment. The event is presented by Runner's Depot and Victory Sports and aims to combine a community running event with family-oriented festival activities.
