Event Overview
The Medal Madness 5K and 10K takes place at Brian Piccolo Sports Park in Hollywood, Florida. This event is part of a race series and features structured distances on an out-and-back course. Participants are required to register online in advance, as there is no registration available at the venue on the day of the event.
Course Information
The race follows an out-and-back layout measuring 1.56 miles per loop. Runners must complete multiple laps depending on their choosing distance:
- 5K: This distance requires completing the course loop two times.
- 10K: This distance requires completing the course loop four times.
The course has a strictly enforced time limit of 2 hours. The starting line is situated next to Cricket Field 2, located just off the parking lot and across from the baseball fields.
Logistics and Awards
Packet pickup is available at the site starting 30 minutes before the official start. The park gates open one hour prior to the race. There is a vehicle parking fee of $3.00, which must be paid separately from the registration fee.
All participants who complete their race receive a finisher medal. The event also features a best costume competition, and runners can earn series points towards seasonal standings.
