Event Details
The 11th Annual Fast & Furriest event features both a 5K run and a 1 mile walk. There are live, on-site events and virtual options. The live event takes place at Heritage Farm Park in Walkersville, Maryland. Virtual participation is possible from April 17 through April 20.

Course Information
The course is entirely within Heritage Farm Park. The running path is paved, with a few small crossing areas that may have light gravel. The event site, check-in area, and vendor area are on grass.
Registration and Participation
Online registration is available until the morning of the race. On-site registration begins at 7:00 AM. Leashed dogs are welcome to participate in the live 5K run. Dogs must be on a 4 to 6-foot non-retractable leash. Participants with dogs are eligible for age-level awards. Children aged 0-10 can participate for free.
Race shirts (long-sleeved) are available by reservation only when registering by a specified date. Participants who do not order a shirt receive a reduced registration fee.
Awards
Awards are for on-site runners only and include overall top male and female finishers, as well as age group awards. Separate awards are given for the top three male and female runners with dogs.
Beneficiary
The event is a fundraiser for Operation Paws for Homes, an all-breed dog rescue organization. Proceeds help fund medical care, including treatment for dogs with heartworm disease. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
