Fast & Fosterous 5k & .5k

The Fast & Fosterous 5k & .5k is an inaugural community running and walking event held in Gladwin, Michigan. Hosted by the Foster Families Navigation & Resource Center, the event takes place at Gladwin North Park, utilizing areas around the Riverwalk Disc Golf and Skate Park. This event offers participants the choice between two distinct physical distances or a virtual participation option.

Participants can take part in the following distances:

0.5 km

The 0.5 km event is a short distance option where participants are encouraged to wear costumes. The 5 km event is available both as an in-person race at the park and as a virtual race. Virtual participants track their own progress and submit their times to be recorded.

Event amenities include shirts for participants who register by specific deadlines, with limited availability for those registering later. Packet pickup is organized at two different locations including The Homestead and Gladwin North Park.
