Farmingdale Ram Run 5K Run/Walk
The Farmingdale Ram Run 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event held at the Farmingdale State College - Nold Athletic Complex. The event features a certified 5K course that is family-friendly and begins and ends on the track. In addition to the main distance, there is a free Kids Fun Run that consists of one lap around the track.
The event is organized in coordination with the Farmingdale State College Alumni Association and the Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Club. As part of the proceedings, the fourth annual Ram Run Food Drive takes place at the Nold Hall Athletic Complex. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the FSC Food Pantry.

Registered participants for the 5K receive a t-shirt and can have their name printed on their bib if they register three weeks before the event. Amenities include post-race refreshments and specific rewards for various age groups and categories. Awards are presented to the top male and female overall finishers, as well as the top student finishers. Medals or prizes are also provided for the top three male and female participants in age groups ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over.
The race takes place rain or shine. Participants have the option to join or create teams with friends and family during the registration process. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
