Farmingdale Ram Run 5K Run/Walk
The Farmingdale Ram Run is a community 5K run and walk held at Farmingdale State College, using the Nold Athletic Complex track for the start and finish. The event includes a separate kids fun run that is one lap around the track and is described as family friendly. The Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Club operates a Ram Run Food Drive and collects non-perishable food items at the Nold Hall Athletic Complex before the race.
Pre-race packet and T-shirt pickup is available at the Alumni Smart Energy House on the FSC campus and at Runner's Edge in Farmingdale. Day-of race number pickup is handled at the Nold Athletic Complex lobby. Live online, email, and text results are provided, along with free video and same-day finish line photos; additional photos are shared on social media.
Event amenities listed by the organizer include quality event tees, post-race refreshments including hot chocolate, and one complimentary beer with a race bib at Changing Times for participants aged 21 and older. Awards include shoes for top overall male and female finishers, shoes for top male and female FSC student, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 and under through 70 plus.
