2027 Falling for You 5k, 10k, & Half
This event offers three distances that run alongside the Potomac River in Great Falls Maryland, with routes along the C&O Canal on a light gravel dirt road. Each course is an out-and-back with minimal elevation change. The event notes waterfalls near the finish area.

Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. Race registration does not include the park entrance fee; park pass specials are available. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Packet pickup is available at the event and organizers recommend arriving early to check in. There will be no on-site race registration.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T‑shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before February 3; additional shirts are available after that on a first-come, first-served basis. Live results will be posted online with a QR code available at the race; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event. Runner tracking via SMS is offered at registration.
Water stations and aid
- Half marathon: 7 water stations at approximately miles 1.55, 2.8, 5.5, 6.55, 7.6, 10.3, and 11.55.
- 10k: 4 water stations at approximately miles 1.55, 2.8, 3.4, and 4.65.
- 5k: 1 water station at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the roundabout.
Awards and charity Top 3 men and women overall are awarded post-race. First and second place male and female awards are given in age categories 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
