About the race
The Fall for the Park 5.5K & Flannel Fest takes place in Manassas Park on November 14, 2026. The event includes a 5.5K run and walk that follows a paved route through Blooms Park and highlights park scenery.
The course passes through forests and meadows, runs alongside streams and train tracks, and crosses multiple bridges. The trail is paved but can be uneven in places with tree roots and other natural features. The route includes uphill and downhill sections and narrows in some areas, so participants will be released in staggered groups. Trail surfaces may become slippery when wet. Official race time is based on when a participant crosses the start and finish line.
Flannel Fest takes place downtown at the City Hall Parking Lot and runs alongside the race day activities. The parking area at Blooms Park is closed; free parking is available at the VRE Parking Garage at 120 Park Central Plaza and a free shuttle will run between City Hall and Blooms Park.
Registration pricing is $35 through October 31 and increases thereafter to $45. Participants who register by November 1 are guaranteed a long sleeve cotton race shirt. Packet pickup is available the day before and the day of the event at the locations listed by the organizer.
Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and a medal for every participant. Select canned goods will be collected for Operation Turkey. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
