Fall Fling 400
Fall Fling 400 is a trail running event held at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, Connecticut on November 21, 2026. The organizer offers two entry options covering the same roughly two mile loop.
- Fall Fling 400: complete as many roughly two-mile loops as possible within 400 minutes.
- Fall Fling 4 Miler: run two laps of the roughly two-mile loop.
The course is a roughly two mile loop with moderately rolling hills. It runs mostly on single-track wooded trails with some dirt and gravel road sections. Some parts of the course have rocks and roots while other sections are smoother. The course will be marked with flags.
There will be a single aid station at the main pavilion start and finish area offering baked items, fruit, chips, candies, water, and electrolyte drink. Participants may set up drop bags at the main area. The event is cupless; participants should plan to bring a personal cup. Portalets are available near the course and permanent restrooms are a few hundred feet from the aid station.
Laps are counted using chip timing and lap counts are displayed at the start/finish area. Only laps completed within the 400 minute limit count. Only registered participants may be on the course and pacers are not permitted.
All registrations must be completed online. Entry is capped at 150 for the Fling 400 and 50 for the 4 Miler. Race proceeds support local organizations and a shoe scholarship program. Finishers receive a branded gift and a finisher medal, and top competitors in each category receive recognition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
