King Of Pain
The King Of Pain is a road running event scheduled for Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Glastonbury, Connecticut. The main event is a 10-mile run that starts and finishes at Hopewell Elementary School, 1068 Chestnut Hill Road, South Glastonbury, CT 06033. The race course passes through South Glastonbury orchard areas and includes multiple hills. The organizer is the Glastonbury River Runners Club. The event benefits Achilles CT and Sunshine Kids.
Logistics and entry
Registration opens December 15, 2025. Early individual entry is listed at $50 through January 19, 2026, and $60 thereafter; online registration closes on February 7 and there is no day-of registration. Entry is open to ages 16 to 100. The field is limited and the course will be open to traffic, so participants are asked to use caution. Amenities include chip timing, a long-sleeve technical shirt for the first 150 registrants (limited sizes), post-race food, and awards for top male and female finishers plus first-place age-group recognition in 10-year groups. Packet pickup is available at Marathon Sports Glastonbury on the days before the race and on race day. Parking is available at Hopewell School with additional lots across New London Turnpike; parking is not allowed at the fire station.
