Event overview
The Fall Creek Falls Half Marathon, 10K and 5K Road Runs take place in August at Fall Creek Falls State Park, Pikeville, Tennessee. The event offers three distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
Each distance includes a T-shirt and a finisher medal or award. Entry is age-restricted by event: the half marathon is open to ages 13 and older, the 10K to ages 12 and older, and the 5K to ages 6 and older. There is no on-site registration; packet pickup is scheduled before race day.
Course, aid and timing
Routes begin and end through the Taft Village area and cross Fall Creek Falls Dam. The 5K is an out-and-back on a paved path through woods to the left after the dam. The 10K and half marathon go to the right after the dam and follow paved paths and park roads; the half marathon is two loops of the paved bike trail and park road sections. Most of the path route is shaded. Aid stations on course will provide water and a sports drink, and participants are urged to carry a bottle or container for refills. Timing verification points will be placed along the course.
Awards and policies
Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and the top masters (40+). Age-group awards are given for first through third in standard age brackets. The organizer has a no-refund policy; race-entry insurance is offered at registration.
