Fall Creek Falls Triathlons
The Fall Creek Falls Half Iron, Olympic and Calfkiller Sprint Triathlons take place at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee. The 2026 event is the 21st annual edition and is scheduled for August 15, 2026. Weekend events continue on Sunday with a half marathon, 10K and 5K road races.
The program includes multiple race categories such as age group, Clydesdale, Athena, aqua bike and relay divisions. Course distances by primary race type include:
- Calfkiller Sprint: 500 m swim, 22K bike, 5K run
- Olympic: 0.93 mi (1.5 km) swim, 24.8 mi (40 km) bike, 6.2 mi (10 km) run
- Half Iron: 1.2 mi swim, 56 mi bike, 13.1 mi run
Packet pickup is available the day before and on race morning. Aid information notes that Half Iron bike aid stations provide bottled water at the mile 24 and 39 turnarounds; there is no bike aid for Olympic or Sprint courses. Run aid stations provide water and Gatorade; the Half Iron loop passes aid stations multiple times.
Events are sanctioned by USA Triathlon and require a one day or annual license. Entries are non refundable and non transferable; event insurance is offered at registration.
