Hillacious Half Marathon - Litchfield, CT
The Hillacious Half Marathon takes place on Saturday November 14, 2026 in Litchfield, Connecticut, with American Legion Post 27 listed as the event location.
The race was created to honor military service. The course is described as intentionally tough and the event is presented as a bare bones race with no prize money and no medals. First-place male and female finishers have their names engraved on perpetual trophies housed at the Morgan-Weir American Legion Post 27.

- 13.1 miles Half Marathon (solo)
- 2-person relay, two legs of about 6–7 miles each
- 4-mile timed walk and run, same start then loops back
All proceeds after race expenses are held in a local fund to support military personnel and families; funds are distributed directly by the Hillacious Half rather than through large agencies. Food and coat donations associated with the event support local pantries and shelters.
Participants and supporters can purchase a personalized dog tag to honor a veteran or service member. Runners may add a tag for $10, supporters for $20; each tag is engraved with the veteran’s name and additional information that fits.
