Fairton 5K Run & The "Mikey" Mile Walk & Bikes for Bellies
The 6th annual Fairton 5K Run takes place in Fairton, New Jersey, with start and finish at the Fairfield Township Municipal Building. The event benefits Fairton Christian Center Academy and the Prune Belly Network.
Distances offered:
- 5K (event titled 5K Run; the course is described as 3.5 miles)
- 1 mile "Mikey" Walk
- 3 miles Bikes for Bellies cycling event
Registration details include an official event T shirt and a finisher's medal. Listed registration fees are $25.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for each of the walk and bike events. Online and on site registration are available through race day.
Awards for the 5K include gift cards and award medals for the top three overall male and female finishers.
The 5K and bike route begins at the Fairfield Township Municipal Building, continues onto Clark's Pond Road and Fairton Millville Road, reaches a turnaround at Fairton Christian Center, and returns to the municipal building. The 1 mile walk follows a shorter out and back to Clark's Pond Road.
The event is presented as family friendly. Walkers are encouraged to take part; strollers and friendly pets are welcome for the walk. Participants of all ages are invited, and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Following the race, Fairfield Township Community Day features a petting zoo, food trucks, local vendors, face painting, games, a DJ, and family activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
