Fairmount 5k
The Fairmount 5k is a community event held at Fairmount Elementary School in Golden, CO (15975 W 50th Ave, 80403) on April 19, 2026. The program includes a 5K run, a Fun Run with a ninja course, a 5K walk, and event merchandise from the race store. Participants in the run or walk may join the Fun Run at no additional cost.
After the running and walking events there will be music and treats on site. Fruit, water and muffins will be available for attendees, and multiple food vendors are scheduled, including a Fairmount family vendor serving breakfast burritos and french toast sticks, a coffee vendor, and a shaved ice vendor. The usual pancake breakfast will not be included with entry; food carts will be offered instead.
Awards will be presented for the top overall finishers and for age group placings by gender, with age groups including under 7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-40, and 40 and over. There will also be awards for the top three costumes. Artwork and a slogan for the event were created by Fairmount Elementary students.
