Fairhaven Turkey Trot
The Fairhaven Turkey Trot is a community 5K run or walk in Fairhaven Center, MA that benefits Shepherd's Pantry and other food stability programs on the Southcoast.
The course is an out-and-back route that begins at Cushman Park on Green Street and goes to Fort Phoenix. Runners and walkers proceed up Fort Street past the marina and a water stop, continue onto Main Street, turn onto Bridge Street and Mulberry Street, then return to the Cushman Park track for the finish. Fairhaven Police will staff major intersections and volunteers will marshal minor crossings. The route is subject to change.
Registration fees are tiered: $20 through 06/30/2026, $25 through 10/26/2026, and $30 thereafter. Registration and bib pickup are offered at 56 Bridge Street (SMEC Building) the day before and the morning of the event; cash and checks are accepted at the earlier pickup, and cash, card, and checks are accepted on the morning pickup.
The event has a community focus: since 2010 it has raised over $130,000 and collected hundreds of pounds of canned goods. In the most recent year participants donated more than 2,000 pounds of non-perishable items. Non-perishable donations can be brought to bib pickup for the event's stuff-a-truck collection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
