Fairhaven Turkey Trot
The Fairhaven Turkey Trot is a 5K run or walk held on Thanksgiving morning in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. The event benefits Shepherd's Pantry and other food stability programs on the Southcoast.
Since 2010 the event has raised over $130,000 and collected hundreds of pounds of donated food; in the most recent year participants donated more than 2,000 pounds of non-perishable items. Participants may bring canned goods to bib pickup for the event's stuff-a-truck donation collection.
The course is an out and back route starting at Cushman Park on Green Street and extending to Fort Phoenix. Runners head down Green to Fort Phoenix, continue up Fort Street past the marina and a water stop, then follow Main Street, turn right on Bridge Street and Mulberry Street, and return to the Cushman Park track for the finish. Fairhaven Police staff major intersections and volunteers marshal minor crossings. The route is subject to change.
Registration pricing is listed as $20 through 06/30/2026, $25 through 10/26/2026, and $30 thereafter. Registration and bib pickup occur the day before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving morning at 56 Bridge Street, Fairhaven, MA. Volunteers and sponsors help cover event costs such as shirts, bibs, and police details so proceeds support community partners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
