30th Anniversary Fairfield Avenue Mile and FCA 5K
The Fairfield Avenue Mile is a long-standing community event in Bellevue, Kentucky, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026. Established in 1996, the event predates several major regional races and continues to serve as a local tradition. The race is organized to benefit the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), with 100% of proceeds supporting camp scholarships and program funding for student-athletes and coaches in Northern Kentucky.
Participants can choose from several event options:
- 1 Mile (available for both walkers and runners)
- 3.1 Mile (5K - reserved for runners only)
- Virtual 1 Mile
- Virtual 5K
The course begins in Bellevue in front of Frisch's and proceeds onto Fairfield Avenue. Those participating in the 3.1 Mile run follow a route that continues through Dayton, offering views of the river. The finish line for both distances is located near the Callahan Community Center in Bellevue.
The event is open to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Families may participate with children in strollers, and dogs are permitted provided they remain on a leash. Children aged five and under may join the event at no cost without the requirement of official registration. Registered participants may receive a tri-blend race shirt, with sizes guaranteed for those who complete their registration by mid-June. Post-race activities typically include community gatherings with refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
