Event overview
The 17th Annual F^3 Lake Half Marathon & 5k takes place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL (1410 Special Olympics Drive). The event offers the following distances:

Registration fees listed are $105 for the half marathon and $69 for the 5k. Every registrant receives a hooded sweatshirt and a finisher medal. Free participant photos are uploaded after the race.
Course, logistics and prizes
The courses are USATF certified and run mostly flat along Chicago’s lakefront. Each mile is marked with event flags. There are three aid stations on the route; each is passed twice, providing six opportunities for water, Gatorade, or restroom access. Pacers are provided by Fleet Feet and Chicago Endurance Sports, and the half marathon uses a self-seeded, wave start format that sends faster runners first.
Packet pickup is scheduled at multiple Fleet Feet locations on dates in January prior to the race. Indoor parking is available at Soldier Field’s North Garage; attendees are asked to reserve parking and show proof of purchase. Spectator parking is also available along Fort Dearborn Drive and at surface lots near Oakwood Blvd, Promontory Point, and 63rd Street Beach. The event includes a prize purse in excess of $6,000 with specified awards for overall and masters finishers. After the race, participants may gather at Weathermark Tavern.
