f-EAU-rth of July 5K

The f-EAU-rth of July 5K is an Independence Day weekend running event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on July 3, 2027. The event is based on the UWEC campus along Park Avenue in front of Hibbard Hall for the start and finish. It includes a main 5K race, a dog run where dogs are permitted on course, and a separate kids' run.

Registration for the event includes a patriotic finisher medal and a choice of one of two running hats. Each participating dog requires a $5 registration fee. Strollers are allowed on the course. If a child riding in a stroller wants race swag or a medal, that child should be registered individually; children registered for the kids' run will receive their own race packet and medal and may also ride in a stroller during the 5K.

A virtual entry option is available that still provides the finisher swag and medal. Race day registration may be offered if space allows. The event is part of the Eau Claire Marathon 5K Race Series; participating in or volunteering at all four series events qualifies for the ECM 5K Race Series Chair. Refunds and deferrals are not offered for the ECM 5K Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
