The f-EAU-rth of July event at the UWEC campus on Park Avenue in front of Hibbard Hall features a community 5K, a dog run wave for registered canine participants, and a quarter-mile kids' dash. The event page provides information on registration, awards, parking, and other race-day details.
Dogs are allowed when registered as the event's dog-run add-on; the add-on is a stated fee during 5K registration. Participants bringing dogs must follow safety guidelines: dogs should be well behaved and comfortable around crowds and other dogs, kept on a non-retractable leash shorter than six feet, up-to-date on vaccinations, cleaned up after, and limited to one dog per person. Dogs are not allowed inside facilities.
Strollers are permitted. If a child in a stroller should receive event swag or a medal, that child must be registered individually. Children registered for the kids' run receive a race packet and medal and may ride in a stroller during the 5K without an additional registration, with the expectation they only take their medal after the kids' run.
Packet pick-up is available before race day at the ECM Warehouse and on race morning at the UWEC Hibbard Parking Lot. Results and race photos from prior years are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
