f-EAU-rth of July 5K
The f-EAU-rth of July 5K is a Fourth of July themed 5K that is part of the Eau Claire Marathon 5K race series. The event takes place on the UWEC campus with the race start located on Park Avenue in front of Hibbard Hall. Packet pickup is available the Wednesday before at the ECM warehouse and there is a race morning packet pickup in the UWEC Hibbard parking lot.

The event includes a separate quarter mile kids' run. A special start is offered for 5K participants who wish to run or walk with their dogs through the Furry f-EAU-rth option. Dog registration is an add-on to the 5K registration with a $5 fee; registered dogs receive an ECM collar and a f-EAU-rth of July popsicle medal.
Furry f-EAU-rth guidelines specify one dog per person, non-retractable leashes shorter than six feet, well-behaved dogs comfortable around crowds, and up-to-date vaccinations. Dogs are not allowed inside facilities and participants are expected to clean up after their pets; bags will be available. Strollers are allowed on the course.
