Event overview
The Extreme Adventure Challenge is a timed, fundraising outdoor event on May 16, 2026 at Life Adventure Center, 570 Milner Road, Versailles, KY. The event runs for two hours on a 10K course across a 575-acre farm. Registration fees are listed between $60 and $100. Participants must be at least 16 years old.
Format and course
Teams compete in two-person or four-person divisions and are categorized as male, female, or mixed for awards. The course includes 18 checkpoints with activities such as mountain biking, ziplining, archery, and canoeing. Teams earn points for arriving at checkpoints and for completing checkpoint challenges; points are recorded on a punch card that teams submit at the finish. Timekeeping and final scoring are handled at the Brown Family Pavilion. The winning team receives a trophy and free registration for the next year. All participants receive a race t-shirt, hydration, and on-course nutrition.
Support and logistics
Life Adventure Center provides safety gear and equipment for checkpoint activities and will staff certified safety personnel for specific elements. Two water stations are located along the course. Volunteer roles include checkpoint facilitation, photography, race headquarters support, and water-station duties. Event proceeds fund scholarships and support Life Adventure Center’s outdoor programs for trauma-affected individuals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
