Extreme Adventure Challenge, Versailles KY
The Extreme Adventure Challenge is a team-based event held on a 575 acre farm in Versailles, Kentucky. The main format is a 10K adventure race where teams visit checkpoints and complete a series of challenges. Teams face 18 unique tasks that may include rock wall climbing, ziplining, canoeing, leading a horse through obstacles, and mountain biking. Teams have a two hour time limit to earn points by choosing and completing checkpoints.
The event offers separate team divisions for male, female, and coed entries. Registration fees listed for team formats are $60 for the four person team and $70 for the two person team. Every participant receives a race t-shirt, hydration, and course support, and teams can compete to win handcrafted trophies.
A concurrent community event called The Adventure Continues is a 1 mile activity open to ages 8 and up. That event features food trucks, music, and six checkpoints open for leisure participation with activities such as mental challenges, archery, an obstacle course, and rock wall climbing. Registration windows and fees vary by event; proceeds support the Life Adventure Center and its outdoor programs for people impacted by trauma.
