Event overview
The Extreme Adventure Challenge is a timed, team-based fundraiser on May 16, 2026 at Life Adventure Center in Versailles, Kentucky (570 Milner Rd). The event uses a 10K course across a 575-acre farm and features 18 checkpoints with activities such as mountain biking, ziplining, archery, and canoeing. Registration fees range from $60 to $100; the race includes team categories for two-person and four-person teams and is open to ages 16 to 99. The event supports scholarships and Life Adventure Center’s mission to serve trauma-affected individuals through outdoor adventure.
Format, rules and inclusions
Teams compete over a two-hour timed challenge to visit checkpoints, earn points for arrival and for completing checkpoint tasks, and submit a punch card at the end for scoring. Some checkpoints require the whole team, others require one or two members. Time and points are recorded at the pavilion; teams arriving a set time before the end receive a bonus point, late teams incur point deductions per minute up to ten minutes, and teams arriving more than ten minutes late are disqualified. Awards are given by division (male, female, mixed); the winning team receives a trophy and free registration for the following year. All participants receive a race t-shirt, hydration and nutrition. Onsite amenities after the race include food trucks and music. Volunteer roles are listed for race support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
