Event overview
The Extreme Adventure Challenge is a timed, team-based fundraiser held on May 16, 2026 at Life Adventure Center, 570 Milner Road, Versailles, KY. The event uses a 10K course across a 575-acre farm and runs as a two-hour challenge. There are 18 checkpoints with activities such as mountain biking, ziplining, archery, and canoeing. Teams compete in male, female, and mixed divisions and can enter as two-person or four-person teams. The event limits participation to 30 teams and is open to ages 16 to 99. Entry fees are listed in a range of $60 to $100.
Format and logistics
Teams earn points for arriving at checkpoints and for completing checkpoint challenges. Points are recorded on a punch card that teams submit at the finish; time and point totals are noted at the Brown Family Pavilion. Teams arriving after the time limit incur point penalties per minute and may be disqualified if too late. The race provides safety gear and certified staff at specific challenges, two water stations on course, race t-shirts, hydration and nutrition for participants, and awards for top teams. Registration proceeds fund scholarships and support Life Adventure Center’s programs that serve trauma-affected individuals. Volunteer roles include checkpoint staffing, photography, race headquarters, and water stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
