EXSS Sprint Duathlon
The EXSS Sprint Duathlon is scheduled for 18 October 2026 at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre. It is a state championship event for Triathlon Western Australia and a World Triathlon qualifying event that also awards points for the Senior Multisport State Series and Junior Multisport State Series.
The event offers three race formats with minimum ages specified:
- Sprint Course: 5 km run, 20 km bike, 2.5 km run; minimum age 15 years.
- Bolt Course: 2.5 km run, 12 km bike, 1.25 km run; minimum age 12 years.
- Novice and Tinlids: 1 km run, 6 km bike, 1 km run; minimum age 10 years.
Race categories cover age bands from juniors to 70 plus, open male and female divisions, and paratriathlon divisions where listed. Junior state championship races occur within the Bolt and Sprint events for defined age groups. Medals for Triathlon Western Australia state championship awards require current TWA membership. Prize money is offered to the top five open male and female athletes; winners must be present to receive prizes.
Course descriptions note lap-based run and bike circuits, aid stations on run legs, transition areas, and island access. Cycle drafting is prohibited and specific race competition rules apply.
