EXSS Sprint Duathlon at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre
The EXSS Sprint Duathlon is a multi-distance duathlon held at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre. The event includes state championship designation for selected races and offers points toward the Senior Multisport State Series and qualification points for the World Triathlon Multisport World Championships 2027. Junior state championship races are held within the Bolt and Sprint distances.
Distances offered:
- Sprint Course: 5 km run, 20 km bike, 2.5 km run. Minimum age 15 years.
- Bolt Course: 2.5 km run, 12 km bike, 1.25 km run. Minimum age 12 years.
- Novice and Tinlids: 1 km run, 6 km bike, 1 km run. Minimum age 10 years.
- Teams Sprint Course: same distances as Sprint. Minimum age 15 years.
Course details note that run legs include laps crossing a pedestrian bridge with on-course aid stations, and bike legs use the event road and event path with lap circuits returning to the transition island. Transition and lap layouts support lap counting and split timing.
Eligibility and competition information: Triathlon Western Australia membership is required for championship medal eligibility. Open categories offer prize money for the top five male and female open athletes, and winners must be present to receive prizes. Timing is provided by a live-timing partner with leg splits available. Competition rules include no cycle drafting, a required 7 meter gap, no left-side cycle passing, and no littering. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
