John Gilmour Track Race
The John Gilmour Track Race is organised by the West Australian Marathon Club and takes place at Coker Park, Cannington on 23 October 2026. The main event is a 10 km track race conducted as 25 laps of a 400 m track. Participation does not require club membership.
The programme includes a community CDAC 1 Mile Run held before the main event, and a post-race barbecue run by Canning Districts Athletic Club to raise funds for their 75 year celebration. Barbecue items are priced at $3 for a hot dog and $2 for a drink. Bib collection is available on the evening of the event. WAMC competitors use a cloth bib and a timing chip to record splits.
Online registrations close on Thursday, 22 October 2026 unless the event sells out earlier. A late registration penalty applies from the Saturday before the event for non-members only. Entrance fees for the 10 km event are: members free, member U18 free, non-member U18 $15.00, and non-member $25.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
