John Gilmour Track Race
John Gilmour Track Race is organised by the West Australian Marathon Club and is scheduled for 23 October 2026 at Coker Park, Cannington. The main event is a 10 km track race run as 25 laps of a 400 m track. Entry is open to non members; members may compete without an entry fee.
The organiser describes the course as flat and accurate, and notes it is spectator friendly. Awards and spot prizes will be offered, and points from the race count toward the club champion standings. WAMC members can use a cloth bib and timing chip to record splits. Bib collection will be available on the evening of the event.
A free community CDAC 1 Mile Run will be held as part of the program to honour Canning Districts running legends. A post race barbecue hosted by Canning Districts Athletic Club will raise funds for the club’s 75 year celebration; items listed include hot dogs for $3 and drinks for $2.
Online registrations close on 22 October 2026. A late registration penalty applies from the Saturday before the event for non members.
