John Gilmour Track Race
The John Gilmour Track Race is organised by the West Australian Marathon Club and takes place at Coker Park, Cannington on 23 October 2026. The main race distance is 10 km, run as 25 laps of a 400 m athletics track. Participation is open to non members.
The event includes awards and spot prizes. A barbecue and music are part of the evening. Club championship points will be awarded in relevant categories. Online registration is available until 22 October 2026 and a late registration penalty applies from the Saturday before the event for non members.
A separate CDAC 1 Mile Run is scheduled earlier in the programme as a free community event; participants and spectators can meet at the 1 mile starting line prior to the main races. Bib collection is available on the evening of the event; WAMC members are asked to bring their cloth bib and timing chip.
Entry pricing for the 10 km event varies by membership and age. Member entries for under 18 and adult members are free. Non member under 18 entries are priced at $15.00 and non member adult entries at $25.00. The Canning Districts Athletic Club will run the post race barbecue with items offered at set prices to support the club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
