explorr - outdoor endurance festival
explorr is a three-day outdoor endurance festival in Banchory, Royal Deeside, held at King George V Park on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The event brings together runners, riders and outdoor enthusiasts for racing and a public festival programme.
The festival programme includes a mix of sporting events and community activities. The three core events are the explorr Gravel Stage Race, a four-stage challenge covering a 120 km route through Royal Deeside; explorr Run, offering multiple running distances from 5 km up to a marathon; and the Charity Night Hike to Scolty Tower.
Additional weekend features include kids races, athlete talks, a Festival Village, music, talks, films and food. The event lists specific youth races by age group and several run distances for adults.
