The Exmoor Running and Walking Festival
The festival is a weekend event celebrating travel on foot within Exmoor National Park, based at the Pinkery Centre for Outdoor Learning in Simonsbath, Somerset. It brings together two established events, the Exmoor Perambulation and Man vs Moor, on the same weekend around the summer solstice.
The programme spans three days in June 2026 and includes a variety of running, walking and related activities. The schedule lists a Friday sunset swim at Pinkery Pond, guest speakers, and social evenings with film screenings. A barbecue area will be available for participants to bring and cook their own food.
Events over the weekend include multiple distances and formats:
- Long Distance Walk 30 miles or 15 miles
- Ultra Trail Marathon 30 miles
- Wild Trail Run 15 miles
- Family Walk 3 miles
- Man vs Moor Light 5 km
- Man vs Moor Classic 10 km
- Man vs Moor Ultimate 10 miles
- Man vs Moor Kids 1.5 km
Locally made solid oak wooden medals are offered as an optional extra and must be ordered separately. Entries for the 2026 festival close at midnight on 12 June 2026. Published entry fees for 2026 range from GBP 25.00 to GBP 32.50. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
