Exmoor Running and Walking Festival
The Exmoor Running and Walking Festival is a multi-day event based at the Pinkery Centre for Outdoor Learning in Simonsbath, Somerset, within Exmoor National Park. It brings together organised long-distance walks, trail runs and shorter family walks, together with social and evening activities at the event hub.
The festival combines two established events, the Exmoor Perambulation and Man vs Moor, which were brought together to run on the same June weekend around the summer solstice. The programme includes guest speakers, film screenings, social gatherings on Friday and Saturday nights, a sunset swim at Pinkery Pond and a barbeque area where attendees can cook their own food. Locally made solid oak wooden medals are offered as an optional extra and must be ordered separately.
Event formats cover a range of distances and formats across the weekend, including both running and walking options. Some event categories have minimum age requirements.
