The Combe Crawler
The Combe Crawler is an annual cross country race organised by Ilfracombe Running Club in North Devon. The course covers coastal paths and countryside terrain with steep sections and coastal views. The advertised distance is 13.6 km / 8.5 miles.
The event is usually held on the last Sunday of November. For 2026 the race date is Sunday 22 November and the venue is Ilfracombe Football Club. Entries open on 1 September 2026. Entrants must be at least 16 years old and the field is limited to 200 participants.
The event operates with a Trail Running Association permit. Ilfracombe Running Club makes a donation from event proceeds to The Penguin Sports Foundation. Event sponsorship has included Sunbelt Rentals.
