Exeter City Community Trust is organising the Exeter Live Better Marathon and a Community 5 Mile event on 3 May 2026. The event offers the following distances:

- Community 5 Mile
The Marathon is open to runners aged 18 and over and has a maximum finish time of six hours with timed cut-off points on the route. The Community 5 Mile is open to runners aged 15 and over. Medals are provided to all finishers; trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. The Marathon also provides a finishers’ t-shirt.
Course, support and entry details
The Marathon uses a flat, traffic-free route along the footpath and cycle track of the River Exe and Exeter Canal. The Community 5 Mile route runs along the Exeter Quayside, through Riverside Valley Park and finishes at Haven Banks. The Marathon course is officially measured, certified and registered with England Athletics, allowing times to be used for London Marathon Good for Age qualification. On-course support includes water stations, energy drinks and medical assistance. Race results are shared via Webscorer and by email. Exeter City Community Trust offers charity places with a minimum fundraising pledge of £300 and provides charity-team runners with a technical running top, a fundraising pack, access to online training materials and post-event hospitality.
