Cockington Christmas Caper
The Cockington Christmas Caper is a 10k trail race on Sunday 6 December 2026 at Cockington Country Park near Torquay. The route runs around the winding trails of Cockington and will include hills, likely some mud, and views of the surrounding countryside.
The course is marshalled, signed and taped, and includes one water stop. There is a 2 hour 15 minute cut off for completion. Trail shoes are mandatory.
At the finish runners receive a bespoke metal medal and a choice of Christmas Cake, Mince Pie or Yule Log. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and for age groups MV40, FV40, MV50, FV50, MV60, FV60, MV70 and FV70. Team awards are offered for Men’s Team (3 men), Women’s Team (3 women) and Mixed (2 men & 2 women).
Entry fees for the 10k are listed as Affiliated £23 and Unaffiliated £25. Participants must be over 16. The event is part of the Winter Trail Series. The race entry system may offer optional Refund Protect Insurance provided by Race Nation; this insurance option is separate from Winding Paths Ltd and is not managed by the organiser.
