Entry information notes a minimum age requirement of 17 years. Participants can enter via a standard booking or by securing a charity place; charity places carry a minimum fundraising pledge of £100. England Athletics members receive a discounted entry for UKA licensed events.

On-course support includes water stations and medical assistance. Facilities at the finish have included toilets, a recovery area, a medical station, a bag store and a water station. Medals are provided to finishers. Results have been shared after the race via email and on Webscorer.

The event is timed to suit runners preparing for longer races later in the year and is positioned between shorter races and half marathon distance for training purposes. Charity runners have received items such as a technical running top, a fundraising pack, access to online training materials and post-event hospitality.
