The Exchange Ambulance of the Islips 5K Run/Walk takes place on September 13, 2026 at East Islip Marina Park in East Islip, New York. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and includes a separate free kids fun run.

Registrants receive a Dry Fit T-shirt, with shirt size guaranteed for registrations completed on or before August 23. Race day registrants are not guaranteed a shirt. Personalized bibs are provided for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is available during early packet pick up dates on September 11 and September 12 at Exchange Ambulance of the Islips, and day of pickup is handled by event staff.
Amenities include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and downloadable digital bibs for virtual participants. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, top three male and female finishers in standard age groups including 14 and under through 70 plus, and top male and female first responder.
Proceeds support Exchange Ambulance of the Islips. The organization began after fundraising in the early 1950s and now operates with about 150 volunteers, providing around the clock emergency medical service to roughly 45,000 residents across about twenty square miles and offering additional marine assistance to Fire Island.
