Event description
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly chip-timed road race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The course is flat and run over five laps, covering a distance of 5 kilometres. The race is EA licensed and results appear on Power of 10. Finish-line text messages provide immediate finishing times and kilometre splits are published the next day.
Entry options include single race entries and a bulk race pass that covers multiple events from June to November. Prices are published for affiliated and unaffiliated entries and include race fees, card charges and administration. Entry on the day is not available. There is an overall entry limit of 200 places.
Race numbers are issued with an embedded timing chip on first entry and are reusable at the York and Leeds 5K events; previously issued red 5K numbers may be used if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are allowed one free race-number replacement within a 12 month period, with subsequent replacements charged at a fee.
Facilities at Race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers or baggage storage.
