Even Splits York 5K (June 2026)
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly chip-timed road race held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The event for June 2026 is on 12 June and uses a flat course run as five laps around the circuit. The published distance is 5 kilometres.
Results are sent by text as runners cross the finish line and kilometre splits are published the next day. Race numbers include an embedded timing chip that can be used at both York and Leeds 5K events; new entrants collect their number from Registration. Previously issued red 5K race numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be reused in 2026 if noted on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements are charged at £4.
Facilities at the race headquarters include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The event has an entry limit of 200 places; a snapshot shown lists 139 places remaining. Entry on the day is not available. Deferral of a place is permitted once to the next race the entrant can attend in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
