The York 5K on 8 May 2026 is a road race of 5 Kilometres held at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit. The Even Splits York 5K series runs monthly from February to November on the same circuit. The race is chip-timed and EA licensed. Kilometre splits are published the day after the race, and results appear on Power of 10. Participants receive a text message with their result as they cross the finish line.

Course, facilities and entry

The course is a flat cycle circuit laid out as five laps. The entry limit is 200. The event is listed as suitable for wheelchairs. On-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Race headquarters is at the University of York Sport Village, Cycle Circuit, Heslington East, Lakeside Way, York, YO10 5FG.

Entry options and rules are published in advance. Single-race fees are £10 (affiliated) and £12 (unaffiliated). A multi-race pass for May to November costs £52 (affiliated) or £63 (unaffiliated). Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. Each first-time entrant is issued a race number with an embedded timing chip for reuse. One free number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period; subsequent replacements cost £4. Places may be deferred once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and places cannot be transferred.
