Event Details
The Even Splits York 5K is a monthly race series held at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit from February to November. The course consists of 5 laps on a flat, tarmac circuit, which the organizer describes as offering an opportunity for a personal best time.
Registration and Timing
The event has an entry limit of 200 runners. Registration is chip-timed, and results are sent by text immediately after finishing. Detailed kilometre splits are published online the next day. The same race number with an embedded timing chip can be used for both York and Leeds 5K events. A chocolate bar is provided at the finish.
Fees and Passes
Entry fees vary. A single race costs £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. A multi-race pass covering events from May to November is available for £52 (affiliated) or £63 (unaffiliated). Online entry closes on race day. Entry on the day is not available.
Facilities and Rules
Available facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. The race operates under EA licensing. Places can be deferred once per calendar year if requested at least three days before the race. There are no refunds and race places cannot be transferred to another runner.
