The event takes place at the University of York Sport Village Cycle Circuit in York. The distance is 5 Kilometres on a flat road circuit consisting of five laps. The races are chip-timed and kilometre splits are published the next day. Results are sent by text after finishing. A race licence has been applied for. The course is listed as suitable for wheelchairs. A small food item is provided at the finish.
Entry, limit and facilities
Entry is described as closed for this date and the race is full. The event has an entry limit of 250. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. Prices listed are £10.00 for affiliated entries and £12.00 for unaffiliated entries. First-time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip for reuse at York and Leeds 5K; previously issued red numbers from 2020-24 may be used in 2025 if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period, then replacements cost £4. Facilities listed include water stations, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Deferral is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. No refunds and no transfers are permitted.
