Farewell See York Run York Challenge
The Farewell See York Run York Challenge is the final See York Run York event, held on Saturday, 18 April 2026 at York Knavesmire. It is a seven hour timed, lapped running challenge on the Turpin Challenge route. Laps are approximately 4.37 miles and the course is described as undulating and multi terrain. The event has a strict seven hour cut off; runners are timed to the completion of the last lap they finished within the seven hour deadline. All participants receive a bespoke medal and a goody bag.
Race headquarters is at Hamilton Panther's Club House, which offers toilets, changing, showers, and hot drinks and food for sale before and after the event. Free parking is available along Knavesmire Road and Racecourse Road. The event is cupless so runners should bring their own bottle or cup; the aid station will provide squash, water, coke, sweets, fruit, and savoury snacks.
Entries are limited to 200 places. Entries close on 11 April 2026 and remaining places were listed at 46. Minimum age is 14 years. Entry fees are listed as affiliated £28 and unattached £30. There are no refunds. Transfers and deferrals are allowed only up to seven days before the event, with deferrals limited by the fact this is the final SYRY event.
