EvenSplits York 5K April SUPERSPRINT Race
The event takes place on 10 April 2026 at the University of York Sport Village cycle circuit in Heslington East, York. It is run on a flat road circuit over 5 Kilometres, completed as five laps.
This SuperSprint race is a faster-runner version of the Open 5K. Entry is restricted to male and open runners with an expected finish time of 17 minutes or under, and to female runners with an expected finish time of 19 minutes or under. An Open 5K is also held on the same night with separate entry rules. The event is chip timed and held under an EA licence application so results appear on Power of 10.
Results are sent by text at the finish and kilometre splits are published the following day. Each first-time entrant receives a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at York and Leeds 5K events. Previously issued red 5K race numbers from 2020 to 2025 may be used again in 2026 if recorded on the entry form. One free number replacement is allowed per 12 month period; subsequent replacements cost £4.
Entry is limited to 100 places. Facilities at race HQ include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing rooms, showers or baggage storage. Entry fees are £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is not available. Deferral is permitted once to the next calendar year race if requested at least three days before race day. By entering, participants accept there are no refunds and places cannot be transferred.
