Even Splits Leeds 5K : event overview
The Even Splits Leeds 5K is a monthly, traffic-free 5 kilometre road race held at the Brownlee Centre, University of Leeds. Events run from February to November and the course is flat, completed as three laps. The race has an entry limit of 200 places.
Races are chip-timed. Results are sent to runners by text as they cross the finish and mile splits are published the following day. Each first-time entrant is issued a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused at Leeds and York 5K events; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020–25 may be used again if recorded on the entry form. Entrants are entitled to one free number replacement within a 12 month period; further replacements cost £4.
Facilities at the race include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Race headquarters is at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA.
Entry options include single-race fees and multi-race passes for the June to November block. Single-race prices are £10 for affiliated runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. The Leeds Race Pass for June to November is priced at £47 affiliated and £56 unaffiliated. Places cannot be refunded or transferred; deferral of a place is allowed once, to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
