Event details
The Leeds 5K is a monthly, traffic-free road race held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The event runs from February to November and is organised by Even Splits. The race is chip-timed and assigns a race number with an embedded timing chip to first-time entrants. The course is flat and consists of three laps, with a listed distance of 5 Kilometres. The event is described as suitable for wheelchairs.
Timing, results and prizes
Finish-line results are sent by text as runners cross the line. Mile splits are published the next day. Finishers receive a small food item at the finish.
Entry, capacity and fees
The event has an entry limit of 200 and showed 191 remaining places at the time of publishing. Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. Prices include race fees, card charges and administration. Fees in the published schedule include:

- Leeds single race entry unaffiliated: £12.00
- Leeds Race Pass (Jun-Nov) affiliated: £47.00
- Leeds Race Pass (Jun-Nov) unaffiliated: £56.00
Entrants keep their issued race number for future Leeds and York 5K races. One free replacement number is allowed per 12 months; further replacements cost £4.
Facilities and policies
Facilities listed on site include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing rooms, no showers and no baggage store. The race headquarters is at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA. Deferral is permitted once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. No refunds or transfers are allowed.
