Barnsley 10K 2026
The Barnsley 10K takes place on Sunday 28 June 2026 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The event is organised by the Sport and Physical Activity Team at Barnsley Council and is set on fully closed roads through Barnsley town centre.
The course is a single lap road route of 10 kilometres with an undulating profile. The race holds a licence number 31132 and is listed as suitable for wheelchairs. The organiser set an entry limit of 2000 places; the event is currently full.
All finishers receive a commemorative t-shirt and free finish-line photographs. Competitive prizes are offered to the first three male and first three female finishers, and to the first male and female in veteran categories V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 and V70 plus. There are 100 charity entries available for organisations within the Barnsley area.
Entry fees are stated as £27.50 for affiliated runners and £29.50 for unaffiliated runners. Transfers are permitted free to another runner until Sunday 14 June 2026. Refunds are allowed up to 28 days before race day subject to a transaction charge. There is no facility to defer entries or to operate a waiting list. T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for entries taken after 20 April 2026.
Minimum age on race day is 15 years; entrants aged 15 to 17 must have permission from someone over 18 or their entry may be void. Race headquarters are at The Glass Works, Barnsley.
