Barnsley 10K 2026
The Barnsley 10K is a closed-road road race in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, held on 28 June 2026 and organised by the Sport and Physical Activity Team at Barnsley Council. The event is a single-lap, 10 kilometre course described as undulating and holds a race licence 31132. All finishers receive a commemorative t-shirt and free race photos. A full set of prizes is offered to the first three male and female finishers and to first male and female athletes in the veteran categories V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 and V70 plus. Transfers to another runner are permitted free of charge until 14 June 2026. Refunds are permitted up to 28 days before race day subject to a transaction charge. There is no facility to defer an entry to the following year and no waiting list is operated.
Facilities listed for the event include water, distance markers, toilets and baggage storage. Race headquarters is The Glass Works, Barnsley, with baggage left at participants own risk at Barnsley Indoor Market. Minimum age on race day is 15; athletes aged 15 to 17 must have permission from someone aged 18 or over.
