Barnsley 10K, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
The Barnsley 10K takes place on 28 June 2026 in Barnsley town centre and is organised by the Sport and Physical Activity Team (Barnsley Council). The course is held on fully closed roads and follows a single 10 kilometre road loop with an undulating profile. It is stated as suitable for wheelchairs and the race licence is pending. Entry is limited to 2000 places.
Facilities at the event include water stations, distance markers, toilets and a baggage store. There are no changing facilities or showers. Race headquarters is at The Glass Works, Barnsley. Baggage can be left at the participant baggage area at Barnsley Indoor Market at the owner’s risk.
Entry opens at 17:00 on 1 February 2026. Entry fees are shown as £27.50 for affiliated runners and £29.50 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day will not be available. Places may be transferred free to another runner until Sunday 14 June 2026 and refunds are permitted up to 28 days before race day subject to a transaction charge. There is no waiting list and t shirt size cannot be guaranteed for entries received after 20 April 2026.
All finishers receive a commemorative shirt and free finish photos. Prize places are offered for the first three male and first three female finishers and for male and female winners in age categories V35 through V70 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
