Event overview
The Leeds 5K on 22 April 2026 takes place at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields. The series runs monthly from February to November and is organised by Even Splits. The race is chip-timed and EA licensed; results appear on Power of 10. Finish-line text results are sent to runners on crossing the line and mile splits are published the next day. A chocolate bar is provided at the finish.
Course and facilities
The course is a 5 Kilometres road route, flat and run over three laps. The event is suitable for wheelchairs. On-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Race headquarters is at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA.
Entry and race procedures
Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. The entry limit is 200. Prices include fees and admin: single affiliated entry £10.00, single unaffiliated entry £12.00; a Leeds Race Pass (Apr-Nov) is £57.00 affiliated or £69.00 unaffiliated. First-time entrants are issued a race number with an embedded timing chip to collect at Registration; previously issued red 5K numbers from 2020-25 may be reused if recorded on the entry form. Entrants may defer their place once to the next race in the same calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. There are no refunds and places cannot be transferred. All additional number replacements after one free replacement in 12 months are charged at £4.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
