EvenSplits Leeds 5k
The EvenSplits Leeds 5k is a monthly road race event held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The event takes place on a traffic-free, 5 km course consisting of three laps. The route is flat and suitable for wheelchair participants. This race is EA licensed, and results are submitted to Power of 10.
The event utilizes chip timing technology. Participants receive their results via text immediately after finishing, with mile splits published the following day. When entering for the first time, runners are assigned a race number with an embedded timing chip that can be reused for both Leeds and York 5k events within the series. Runners who have a red race number from previous years (2020-2025) may continue to use it.
Facilities available at the Brownlee Centre include water, toilets, and distance markers along the course. There are no changing facilities, showers, or baggage storage areas on-site. Participants receive a chocolate bar at the finish line. Registration takes place at the race headquarters located at Bodington Playing Fields.
