Event
The Leeds 5K on 22 October 2025 is one of a series of monthly 5 km races held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre. The event is chip-timed and results appear on Power of 10. The races run from February to November at the same venue.
Course and entries
The course is a flat, road route consisting of three laps covering 5 kilometres. The event has an entry limit of 200 participants, with 92 places remaining at the time of the listing. The event is described as suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters are at the Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Bodington Avenue, Leeds LS16 8NA.
Facilities at the venue include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Entrants receive a race number with an embedded timing chip on first entry; this chip can be used at both Leeds and York 5K events. Previously issued RED 5K race numbers from 2020-24 may be reused if recorded on the entry form. One free race-number replacement is allowed in a 12 month period; further replacements cost £4.
Entry fees listed include card and admin charges: single race entry £10 (affiliated) or £12 (unaffiliated); an Oct-Nov race pass is £18 (affiliated) or £22 (unaffiliated). Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. Deferral is allowed once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day.
