Calverley Chaos
Calverley Chaos is an evening trail race on the Calverley Millennium Way with a new 10 km course introduced for 2026. The event is based at The Railway Inn, Calverley Bridge, Leeds LS13 1NR, where the race both starts and finishes.
The route covers public footpaths and includes sections named the Canal Sprint, Woodhall Hills, and the trails of Calverley Woods. The course has about 200 m of elevation and is fully waymarked with permanent blue, yellow and green footpath markers; extra pink markers are added on event day. Runners are placed clockwise or anti-clockwise by draw, with roughly half the field running each direction.
Entry is limited to 150 runners and the published entry fee is £20. The organisers provide a place to lock bikes and the venue is accessible via the Leeds Liverpool Canal. If driving, parking is recommended on Calverley Lane off the A6120 rather than on Calverley Bridge; The Railway Inn is a short walk across the river from nearby parking.
