Evansville Labor Day Run/Walk
The Evansville Labor Day Run/Walk takes place in Lamasco Park in Evansville, Indiana. This athletic event offers several distances and categories for participants on Labor Day Monday. The course options include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Walk
- 10K Run/Walk
- 15K Run
- 50 Yard Kids Fun Run for ages 5-13
All participants receive an official race shirt and a bib. Participants who register by late August are guaranteed their shirt before race day. The timing for the event is managed by To The Finish. Packet pick-up is held the day before the race at a local venue on Washington Avenue, with a secondary option for out-of-town participants to pick up their materials near the start line on the morning of the event.
The event includes an awards ceremony where medals are distributed to top finishers. Awards are categories by age groups for the 5K events, including divisions for those 17 and under up to 70 and older. The 10K and 15K events offer medals for the top three male and female finishers. Children participating in the Kids Fun Run receive participation medals.
Registration for this event also provides entry to the Evansville Pickle Festival held the following Saturday.
