Event overview
This is Event 3 of 5 in the "off the beaten track" Trail Run Series. The event takes place in Eungella National Park and Crediton Reserves on Sunday 31 May 2026 at the corner of Eungella Dam Road and Hazelwood Roads, about 6.1 km from the Broken River Day Use Area. The event is 100% off-road and offers three distances:
- 5km out-and-back (2.5 km out and back)
- 11km loop
- 18km remote run (590 m total elevation)
Registration fees start from $25 and include athlete photos and insurance. Entry fees vary by course length and may increase; early bird pricing ends 21 March 2026 and late fees start 24 May 2026.
Course, logistics and rules
The 5km is an out-and-back through rainforest. The 11km is a loop with mixed terrain, possible wet sections, climbs, and water/refreshments on course. The 18km follows remote backroads with rolling downhills, steep ups, and two river crossings at the Diggings. The course will be marked with pink tape, signage, arrows and caution tape.
Mandatory gear for the 11km and 18km includes two compression bandages, a fully charged phone (limited service), a whistle, and the timing chip. One water station is available on course but competitors should carry sufficient water and nutrition. Toilets are not at the start/finish; nearest public toilets are at the top of Eungella Range (Cricket Ground) and Broken River Day Use Area. Top 3 male and female placings receive awards for each distance; prize money is offered for the top three in each course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
