Finch Hatton Waterfalls Trail Run
The Finch Hatton Waterfalls Trail Run is the final round of a five-event trail series held in the Pioneer Valley. The course runs through Finch Hatton Gorge and takes participants deep into rainforest terrain, past waterfalls and along historic forest tracks. The route includes sections near cool waterfall pools and offers varied trail surfaces and gradients.
This edition follows a two year hiatus and forms the series finale, with multiple distance options to suit different route choices. The event is staged in Finch Hatton, Queensland, with access via Gorge Road. The organisers note that the trails pass through protected areas and request that competitors respect the environment and remove all litter.
Course wayfinding and safety arrangements vary by event; entrants should expect marked trails and the usual trail-running requirements for remote routes. Facilities near the course are limited; runners should plan for the absence of on-site toilet amenities at some start locations and carry necessary water and nutrition for their chosen distance.
Distances offered:
- 6km
- 12km
- 18km
